☁️ Ana Pandur – May 24th ☁️
Bring your dancing shoes and join us to learn Flamenco in a Hispanic-Slovenian style, led by Slovenian dancer, choreographer, and dance educator Ana Pandur. Later in the evening, she will perform her solo music-dance project “White Noises”.
Ana Pandur is an author, choreographer, dancer, Hispanist, and philosopher. She has centered her artistic work on flamenco and its application in contemporary performance practices since her studies at the Faculty of Performing Arts in Ljubljana. After her training in classical ballet, she studied flamenco dance and theory at the “Amor de Dios” Academy in Madrid between 2002 and 2004.
Upon returning to Slovenia, she founded PKD Flamenko, an organization she still leads today, one that has produced some of the most prominent names in the contemporary flamenco scene in the region. Under her guidance, the association has become the leading flamenco institution in Slovenia, successfully blending traditional aspects of flamenco with artistic creation in music and the performing arts.
The workshop is open to both beginners and professional dancers who wish to deepen their knowledge of flamenco. It will be a fun and inspiring experience — and as always, free of charge!
Flamenco, known for its powerful dance, soulful singing, and rhythmic guitar, embodies deep emotion and storytelling through movement and sound.
Supported by the Slovenian Embassy in Tirana.
